Hello!

Hello!

i’m nina

I graduated from Cornell with a degree in Fiber Science and Apparel Design, and also studied fashion business at the London College of Fashion. My background bridges design with fabric sourcing, strategy, and product development.
At Cornell, I took classes across fiber science, surface and textile design, product development, sustainability, and business. I designed home décor pieces such as printed table linens, textile wall art, and novelty pillows, as well as an 8-piece senior collection, all exploring how pattern and color theory can bring personality to a space or look. Along the way, I built technical skills in Adobe Creative Suite, knit programming, Clo3D, CAD, trend research, and Excel.
Professionally, I’ve worked through the full product lifecycle — from trend research and sketching to CADs, material testing, sourcing, and product approvals. At Brandix, I ran fabric tests like wicking and absorbency to guide the best product construction, and also traveled to India and Sri Lanka to tour local mills and see weaving, rug making, and production processes firsthand. At Hanna Andersson I focused on sustainable fabric sourcing and development, and at UNIQLO I led trend comp shopping and pitched new ideas for development — while also doing SKU planning, buys by color and size, creating line decks, and overall strategy for the innerwear category. Now, I have joined West Elm as an Assistant Textile Designer.
I love to create. Just like my logos, myself & my designs are constantly evolving. Stay tuned for more and follow my instagram @artistnamednina for the latest updates - I post way more on there.
